Customer question on CarDAQ-Plus - J2534 Pass-Thru Device

What about the cable do I need any additional cable (e.g. The mangoose) or just the one along with it?
You mean that I can only reinstall the OEM software and not any tuned software?
Is the OEM software included or I have to get it from the manufacturers from the technical websites?

The vehicle interface cable is free when you buy this from us www.AllOBD.com or www.TunerTools.com although the manufacturer charges an additional $85 for it. There is only one cable type for all compatible cars and it's the standard J1962/1850 style OBD2 connector at the car end.

The software must be obtained from the vehicle manufacturers. I have links to their websites depending which manufacturer and yes, reflashing with the manufacturer's software supports only OEM updates to the calibration files. Aftermarket software for custom tuning is not yet developed although many of the components and development tools are in place and this will likely be an area we see some new developments in shortly.

Is this box compatible with US, Asian and Europian codes or not? and do I need special cables for each can maker or it is just the cable included with the box?

The CarDAQ-plus is fully compatible with all cars which are designed to meet the SAE J2534 pass-thru specification, whether US, Asian or European. Please understand that this J2534 specification is designed for OEM reflashing with updated calibration files using OEM software. There is not (as yet) any aftermarket software supporting custom tuning and this box is designed and certified to be used with software provided by the vehicle manufacturer.
