2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Tuner

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 gasoline engine in it. I am upgrading my trans and torque converter, adding a cold air intake, and planning to do other mods in the future. I am looking for a programmer of some type that will allow me to change between highway, towing, and 4x4. Something that has a screen and that allows me to do this on the fly would be great. My friend has a Chevy with a Bully Dog which I like, however, I can not find one for my year and engine size. I would like a tuner that can mount on or on top of my dash as well.

Unfortunately, you're in uncharted territory for that year/engine combination. Dodge/Chrysler has been notoriously difficult to hack and completely uncooperative on sharing information to the aftermarket development community. I did some checking around and can find nothing at all that meets your requirements.

The only thing we have (or can find) is the Superchips Flashpaq 3865 hand held tuner. This will not give you the display or the changing of tunes on the fly (it has to be stopped, turned off and reflashed to change the tune). It will modify the programming to account for the intake & exhaust changes, not sure about the transmission as that will depend on how severely it's modified.
