Diagnostics with the Mongoose JLR for Jaguar & Land Rover
The Mongoose JLR is a USB pass-thru device that utilizes the SAE J2534-1 API. What this means is that the Mongoose JLR uses a standard communications interface to the vehicle, allowing it to work with 3rd party diagnostic applications. Different diagnostics and data logging applications supported are currently supported by the Mongoose, with more being added all of the time. NEW! Jaguar / Land Rover are now supported for dealer level diagnostics & module programming using their software (available here) and the Mongoose JLR. I've heard that there are versions of IDS software out there on the market, but we can not condone, encourage nor vouch for their quality. Regarding subscriptions, what some customers have done is establish a proxy server account to access the internet then pass their signal through a USA proxy server which displays a USA IP address. The software will function fine, assuming of course you cars there are compatible.

I understand perfectly. If you are connected via an IP address outside the US or Europe, their website (named Topix) does not offer the option to purchase the license. However, if you use a proxy connection, your IP address will appear to be a U.S.A. based internet connection and the Topix website WILL offer this option.

First delete all cookies and cache from your browser so the site is not remembering you from before
Login to your VPN account and using ONLY the VPN account to navigate the internet:

Go to the TOPIx website
http://www.jaguartechinfo.com/
Select English and United States from the first menu page

In the upper right hand corner are links "Login | Register"
Register a NEW account (abandon whatever account you may have created previously as it's associated with the wrong country)

Login with your new account
In the upper right corner is a link called "OPTIONS" click on that
On the next page, scroll to the bottom and look for a section named "Programming subscriptions"
Select "Add"
The next pages should offer pull down menus with the ability to select "Module Programming" and the duration you want the subscription

Should work fine using your new VPN account and as a US business
