Re: Hi everyone.
Hi Lloyd,
The software that came with the unit is Version 1.00.
I was Googling for information on setting the unit up and software downloads for the KMON and came accross a Version 1.01 software.
I downloaded it but i cant find it anywhere on my laptop.
Is version 1.01 the up to date version, or are there newer versions.
I was also looking for the settings for the filters etc.
Thats how i found this site.
I have setup the KMON software as advised by you in other threads, on this FORUM.
I havent used the unit as yet.
I will be dynoing a car later this week, with intentions of using the KMON.
It appears there is no calculation (mathmatics) involved with using this unit to achieve the correct settings required.
Cylinder bore diameters etc, etc.
I read the supplied manual and also downloaded the manual to make sure that i had the latest information, the manuals were the same.
Basically, i am wishing to gather the latest information and software if there is anything newer
There doesnt seem to be an update software function in the software itself.
Regards
Dave.

Re: Hi everyone.
Hi Dave,
The 1.01 version of the KMon Knock System software is the latest and it's available for download here (in .rar format)
http://gizzmoelectronics.com/Support_Instruction.html
I don't recall what was changed, only that it was something minor and most users are fine with the version on the CD.
And here are some set up guidelines from the designer of the KMon:
1-How to set the center frequency?
Utilise a knock calculator, there are several on the net, typically 5.6k covers everything in my experience
2-How to setup the bandwidth?
.5 bandwidth works perfect however this is more of a personal preference setting
3-How to setup the sensitivity?
Works like volume, more sensitivity = more audible noise
