DashDAQ Overview

DashDAQ™ is a windshield-mounted cabin monitor that easily installs in seconds. DashDAQ’s unique feature set allows you do many different things all from one screen:

DashDAQ™ Series II is a product designed for car enthusiasts by car enthusiasts. It offers Customizable Gauges, Data Recording, Diagnostics, Navigation*, Performance Calculation, and more all from a high resolution color touch-screen. It Patent Pending technology is so far advanced that competitors will spend years trying to bring their low tech, low resolution cabin monitors to the level of functionality that DashDAQ™ offers right now.

Highest Resolution Screen

DashDAQ™ features a high-quality TFT LCD that displays full color (16.77 million colors) on a 480 x 272 pixel high-resolution screen. The screen has an impressive 4” viewing area, 320 nits brightness, and a contrast ratio of 350:1. This is the first automotive cabin mounted display to utilize a color screen at this resolution. Many companies advertise large color displays, but just deliver bigger pixels and multi-color backlights on old fashioned, low tech monochrome screens.  These are the actual images, shown at the actual resolution viewable on the DashDAQ™ display

What separates DashDAQ™ from all other gauges and digital dashboards is it's high resolution color display and customization capabilities. DashDAQ's 4" touch-screen offers 480x272 resolution and 24-bit color. The DashDAQ™ Series II is a Linux Platform running an ARM9 processor. When you purchase a DashDAQ™, it includes GUI software written by Drew Technologies that allows the user to create digital gauges, perform diagnostics, log data, and more. A DashDAQ™ purchase also includes technical support for operating the included GUI software.
DashDAQ™ can also be used as a hardware platform for developers that want to write their own software. Because of it's built in vehicle communications hardware, form factor, and temperature range, it is a unique platform for developers. Drew Technologies does not provide free technical support for individual developers writing their own Linux programs, but you can sign up for access to the developer's forums by registering at http://www.dashdaq.com/phpbb

The DashDAQ is also Innovate MTS compatible. This allows you to connection multiple Innovate devices via serial connection using the optional expansion cable and your favorite Innovate Motorsports MTS device.  Add the expansion cable and LC-1 Air/Fuel Ratio Wideband Controller using the meno options at the bottom of this page.

Turn-by-Turn directions. Simply enter your destination or pick from your favorites, and let DashDAQ calculate the best way to get there. Plan stops along the way, change your route to avoid traffic, watch trip statistics, and view your estimated time and distance to arrival.

Voice Guidance. Prefer voice guided directions? Listen to DashDAQ's audio guidance over its 2-watt stereo speaker or use DashDAQ’s audio line-out to connect to your car stereo or to an FM transmitter.

Points of Interest. Make your trip more interesting. DashDAQ navigation comes pre-loaded with millions of points of interest so you’ll know what there is to do along your route or at your destination.

Updated Maps. Even the best navigators are only as good as their maps. DashDAQ uses the latest NAVTEQ maps to give you the most accurate data.
